We are very easy to find… 3 minutes drive or 25 minutes walk between Nelson City centre and Tahunanui Beach.

If you are coming from Blenheim or Picton you are already on State Highway 6 with the ocean on your right. As you reach Nelson City keep on SH6 going towards Richmond.
You will go along Haven Road which then becomes Wakefield Quay and you will see the ocean on your right again, with The Boat Shed Café over the water.
Keep going for about 200 metres and Wakefield Quay House is on your left at number 385. Our sign is white and is directly opposite the boat harbour entrance and Haulashore Island – pull in and park next to the sign as it is a free parking lane – you’ve made it!

If you are coming from the West Coast and the Nelson Lakes, stay on State Highway 6 and follow the sign to 'City Centre via Tahunanui' (which is via the beach and seafront).
After about 3kms go straight across at the traffic light intersection at Tahunanui Beach (still on SH6) and you will suddenly see the beach and the sea on your left.
After another 2kms you will see Haulashore Island on your left and you will go past a right turn uphill into Richardson Street – this is the first right turn you will see. 385 Wakefield Quay is on the right 200 metres past the Richardson Street turn off. You are best to pass the house, pass the Boat Shed Cafe and turn around further up the road and come back. You can then pull into the free parking lane next to our house signage.
